Autoliv – Environmental, Health& Safety Engineer

The Autoliv Promontory (PRO) Facility EH&S Engineer will be responsible for maintaining a healthy, safe, and productive workplace, including communicating and enforcing standards and procedures, training workers, and representing the interests of Autoliv. 

Core Responsibilities & Activities for EH&S Engineer: 

  • Manage all site EH&S programs.
  • Manage all safety investigations, and incident corrective actions.
  • Work closely together with operations and facility managers to identify and manage risk.
  • Manage HS&E audits and evaluation of new processes.
  • Ensure compliance with BATF&E regulations.
  • Manage and input all workplace injury claims.
  • Determines OSHA recordability and maintains the facility’s OSHA required documents.
  • Responsible for managing the facility’s Workers Compensation.
  • Manage all industrial hygiene activities.
  • Conduct safety related training, including new hire safety orientation.
  • Conducts hazards and risk assessments (HRA’s), machine guarding and ergonomic assessments.
  • Manage Process Safety Management elements required at a covered facility.
  • Develops customized HS&E communications for the facility.
  • Participate in the facility staff meetings to ensure safety communication to site leadership.
  • Conduct radiation leak surveys for x-ray equipment.
  • Communicate all Significant Events to all Autoliv sites globally to ensure corrective action implementation.
  • Travels when necessary to other facilities to audit, train, and assist in HS&E functions.
  • Experience and knowledge in hazardous waste regulations and Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001).

Environmental and Safety Engineer (Central Group)

Central Environmental & Safety Engineer

Core Responsibilities for Autoliv Americas Environmental and Safety Engineer for our US/Canada operations. This role is critical in leading and guiding our sites to ensure environmental compliance. Engineer will be located primarily at the Ogden, Utah campus.

We know with proper leadership, we can have a positive impact on the environment and become a world wide leader in environmental sustainability. This role is important to our success and will have the ability to impact Autoliv’s impact.

Environmental and Safety Engineer will have the following responsibilities for US/CAN::

  • Responsible for calendaring and coordinating the following:
    • all ISO 14001 EMS audits (Internal and External)
      • Coordinating schedules with EMS registrar
    • Environmental Regulatory audits
    • Env. compliance training coordination
  • Ensure compliance with all Env. Standards US/Can
  • Strong understanding of air permitting, emissions, hazardous waste, waste water, stormwater and associated regulations.
  • Familiar with EPA reporting requirement (Tier II, Form R, etc.)
  • Environmental Sustainability support including:
    • Data validation
    • Environmental Data application management
  • Ability to lead cross functional teams with strong presentation skills and ability to interact with different levels of the organization.
  • Provide leadership with the Environmental Management System (EMS), EMS training to new EMS coordinators with regular updates on EMS to team
  • HSE Cross training – HSS Generalist to grow candidate.

Autoliv – Health, Safety & Sustainability Engineer – Logistics Group

The Autoliv Logistics Health Safety & Sustainability Engineer with multiple warehousing operations, with primary site being Ogden, Utah, and secondary sites in Columbia City, Indiana, and Olive Branch, Mississippi. Employee will be required to actively identify, control, minimize, mitigate and/or remove risks in site’s day-to-day warehouse operations.

  • Lead and develop multi-site warehouses, front-end process engineering events focusing on risk assessment, evaluation of new improvement processes, and review of facility layouts for potential HS&E issues.
